Dean has returned from the Pacific Northwest with its great trees and other awesome features. Today’s “Ambling” post is on the two major timber trees harvested from Northern California to Alaska: the Douglas fir and the Sitka spruce.

    Love those amblings!!

Dean your pics make me think those trees might be in a virtual rain forest. All the ferns and vegetation on the ground under what has to be a pretty hefty forest canopy, unless a lot of sunshine gets in there from somewhere.

I don’t hug trees myself, but I sure do admire them, and love to be out there with them. And what a treasure we have in our trees, forests, plains, rivers and mountains. Do we not have a Philanthropist God or what!!
