Good to "Browse" once again. If (since) animals have souls, or not, we still have an obligation to care for them, as well as the plant life. They are all included when God gave mankind vice-regency over creation. I disagree with some who almost make their pets equal with people, but they have a point that the animals are important. Who could resist the panting "smile" of a Labrador Retriever, or the purring of a kitten. I for one am enthralled at the site of a black bear or other wild animal in the forest. So do animals have souls? Will my old dog remember me in heaven? As fascinating as these questions are, the important thing to remember is that our Lord loves His creation, and one day will redeem it all. If "Snoopy" (yep, not original, but our old lovable family dog) comes running near the crystal sea, that will be wonderful.
