<description>It is pretty so-so; so you have to work hard to get good photos. Not!!

Actually, photographers who know their cameras can get wonderful shots. Beauty surrounds you. Bright overcast in the morning makes it great for flowers and plants, and late afternoon sun, the photographers&#039; &quot;golden hours,&quot; from about 4:00 to dusk, can have you scrambling to snap everything that strikes your eye.

I have collected over 400 images on my camera&#039;s memory chips. Now I have to edit them---which is always hard. But like too many words can spoil an article, too many photos can spoil a portfolio.

<description>Dean, are you that good of a photographer, or is Orcas Island so pretty that anyone could point and shoot and get results like you??

:)

Mike reposted on the previous installment that the San Juan&#039;s are perhaps the prettiest place on earth. So maybe even an old codger like me could get a good photo there.

At any rate, the pics are wonderful, and the island must be too. Mike said he was biased, which is evident he may not have visited the Smokey Mountains!! But as I enjoy the pics on this blog, I have to realize that everywhere has its beauty. You sometimes have to look for it, but God has left His mark in lots of places (everywhere) for us to enjoy. Pretty good stuff, huh??

Enjoy your stay, and the cool temps.
